Filipino Floras

There are things you carry from a place you have never lived in, or left too young to remember clearly. Flowers are one of them. Their names, their colors, the way they show up in fabric and food and family altars. This poster series is an act of holding that knowledge carefully, and making it visible. Developed as a personal project, this series celebrates the botanical heritage of the Philippines through bold graphic illustration and poster design. Each piece takes a native Filipino flower as its subject and treats it with the same reverence that Western design traditions reserve for roses and peonies. The visual language is contemporary and graphic, the kind of design that lives comfortably on a gallery wall or a bedroom door, because the goal was never to make something educational in the museum sense. It was to make something you want to look at, and keep looking at, until the names and the forms become familiar.
