Ako si Divine Rose
I am a Filipino-American illustrator, designer, and visual artist based in Brooklyn. My work lives at the intersection of art and activism, and I make it entirely by hand.
I am drawn to introspective interiority. To the people who were too much for their world and built a more beautiful one inside themselves.
My practice spans branding, packaging design, editorial illustration, visual art, and trauma-informed design. What connects all of it is a commitment to work that sees people fully, especially those who have been historically unseen.
My visual language is maximalist, nostalgic, and rooted in my Filipino upbringing. I work with layering as both a technique and a philosophy: nothing is flat, nothing is simple, everything carries history. Textures accumulate like memory.
TL;DR - I design for the spaces between art and activism. If your work lives there too, I'd love to connect.
